West Lancashire District Meeting
On Saturday the 23rd. April 2022 Allied Masonic Degrees Masons of West Lancashire gathered in Preston, Lancashire to attend the annual meeting of District Grand Council also in attendance were an abundance of Distinguished Guests from no less than fourteen other Districts. Another Very Important Guest in attendance was The Most Worshipful Grand Master Thomas Firth Jackson accompanied by a plethora of Grand Officers.
District Team 2022/2023
At 10.45 am, after tucking into bacon baps and coffee, the Brethren from West Lancashire took their seats in the Temple. The Distinguished Guest were introduced and escorted into District Grand Council. The District Grand Prefect Right  Worshipful Brother Graham Paul Snape was escorted into the Temple in procession by his District Officers.
 
The District Grand Prefect opened District Grand Council and salutations were given to which he suitably responded. On a report the Grand Director of Ceremony announced The Most Worshipful Grand Master who entered with his Grand Officers to enthusiastic acclamation. Salutations were given for which The Grand Master thanked the Brethren.

A moment of reflection was observed for those of our Brethren that had been called to a higher service.
 
After several Items of a domestic and administration nature the next item was to Appoint, Obligate and Invest as Deputy District Grand Prefect Worshipful Brother Mark Andrew Barton after which he was given salutations by the Brethren of West Lancashire. The District Grand Prefect then Appointed and Invested the District Grand Officers for the ensuing year.

After the District Grand Prefect addressed District Grand Prefect a collection was taken for worthy causes. The District Grand Council was closed by the District Grand Prefect who afterward retired in processional order.
 
The District Grand Prefect along with his guests enjoyed a refreshing aperitif before being called to the dining room where they partook of a splendid three course lunch. The toasts in the Allied Masonic Degrees are known for their brevity and today was no exception and all too soon the Brethren were making their way homeward another fabulous day of Allied Masonry over.
